Why this site exists

There is no shortage of information about paragliding in the Alps. For Iran there is almost nothing in English — a scattering of forum posts, some spectacular video with no context, and a lot of guesswork.

This site is an attempt to fix that: a proper record of where you can fly here, when it works, and what it actually takes to organise the trip. Some of it is straightforward. Some of it — customs, airspace, paying for anything with a foreign card — is genuinely awkward, and those parts get written honestly rather than glossed over.

Who writes it

TODO — this is the most important paragraph on the site. Visiting pilots are deciding whether to trust a stranger with a week of their holiday and their safety. Say who you are, how long you have flown, where you have flown, and what you do when it goes wrong.

How the information is checked

Every site page carries a verification flag. Until a local pilot has signed off the take-off elevation, aspect, landing options and hazards, the page shows an unverified warning and the numbers stay off it. That is deliberate — a plausible-looking wrong altitude on a flying site page is worse than a blank field.

Logistics pages carry a last-checked date. If one looks stale, assume it is, and ask.
